During the Carnival
Alexander Grecu manages to recreate through the play During the Carnival the social and moral atmosphere of uncle Iancu’s vicinity. The scenic reading underlines the plastic and allegoric expression of masks. Giving life to the producing version, the actors emphasize excessively the form, the theatrical marcs on the purpose to get not only some effects but to personify the characters as well. The heroes’ identity is not limited to the caricature dimensions, their evolution being a link of satirical attitudes; the humor of the text is emphasized thought played up means bringing about the epidemic laughter. Each one of the spectators, being loyal to Theatre, wants to know with no doubt, about the backstage life, and first of all, how it is creating the future play.
